This GS race had been cancelled on July 30th due to a lack of snow at Mt Hotham in Australia so Cardona agreed to host the races, albeit 6 weeks later.  Points are never easy to come by in the ANZ competition since it's Australia and New Zealand's version of the Europa Cup or Norams. so there's a strong field entering the races in order to try to win the overall ANZ series. I was satisfied with both of my runs and achieved a much better result than I did a few weeks earlier in the FIS GS races on the same hill; beating a handful of girls who had beaten me on that previous occasion. |
