My season has been topped-off by the absolutely amazing news that I have been awarded an Olympic Scholarship!! This is awarded by the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne, Switzerland, to a small number of athletes who they believe have the potential of being chosen by their Country to compete at the Olympic Games (the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, in my case). I will be receiving substantial funding towards equipment, training, travel etc for a period of 15 months from November 2012 until the Winter Olympics in 2014.  |
