| Pitztal - Slalom Training |

I am on the train leaving Imst and bound for Munich. It is a perfect Spring day in the Alps and, with the green fields and flowers everywhere I look, it's hard to believe that I was doing slalom training, on snow, less than 2 hours ago!  Green fields and snow-capped mountains - Spring in the Alps! I haven't been happy with my slalom this season so I came to the Pitztal to get some training in this one discipline specifically and I am so glad I did. I had lost quite a lot of confidence in slalom but, after a fairly shaky start, I have improved every single day and , today, I didn't come out of a single run! I am now skiing slalom very well (if I say so myself!). The weather has been warm so the snow is fast disappearing, even from high up the mountain. The conditions in the training course were quite good, considering, but I am probably leaving at the right time because I think it will be very hard to get good training in a matter of days from now.
